We knew this would be more of a challenge as it is definitely a complex design however after speaking to the lecturer, he informed us it has been done before so that we knew it was possible and an achievable target. However, we felt that this idea was too simple and would result in us not maximising our grade so we then decided on creating a Rubik’s cube solver. We then began brainstorming our ideas that we all had for the project and one of the other main ideas we had was to create a maze were the robot had to navigate around, picking up objects and releasing them in certain areas. We will be recording our progress and uploading videos onto our YouTube channel.ĭuring week one, we were given our specification and placed into our groups of six. ![]() ![]() The aim of our game is for the player to solve the Rubik’s cube before our robot successfully completes it. ![]() The robot will be built using the Lego Mindstorms EV3 kit, and the software we are using to code our robot is a unique drag and drop software specifically designed to be used with Lego Mindstorms. Our group have decided to build a robot that will be able to solve a Rubik’s cube completely on its own.
